Just in time for summer, and an easy first garment project - meet the Cleo Skirt from Made by Rae! The pattern includes options for two skirt lengths, two different pocket designs, and a flat-front waistband with elastic in the back (no zipper.). It’s easy and fun, and would fit in at any French market. This pattern is written for fourteen sizes A-N, and is designed for waists 25-60 inches and hips 35-70 inches. Bonus: if you would like to learn how to print a PDF pattern using standard letter sized paper, Christine will schedule a 30 minute Zoom class to cover how to select your size, how to scale and print your pattern and how to assemble the pieces in time for class. Learn to piece curves the Clammy way. This Clammy template designed by Latifah Saafir may be used for all types of curves, including a whole circle, half circle and even an orange peel. In the first class, you’ll learn and practice how to piece a basic curve, how to plan your Clammy quilt and organize your pieces and how to cut fabric using The Clammy Template. In the second class, you’ll start piecing your quilt from the top down. (There will be two weeks in between to give you ample time to plan your quilt and cut your clamshells.) During the third class, you’ll learn how to complete your quilt top by sewing the bottom row.

Join Laura, our certified Stripology instructor, to create a stunning quilt inspired by the landscapes and cultural motifs of Iceland. This quilt, designed by Gudrun Erla of GE Designs, is a celebration of her Icelandic heritage. You'll use accessible, modern techniques to bring the beauty of Gudrun's homeland to life in each block. This is also a fantastic opportunity to build your skills using the Stripology rulers and tools. Each session will begin with a focused tutorial on a different block or section of this medallion-style quilt design. The remainder of the time will be open sew for you to work on your piecing. Each attendee will have their own 6' table in our spacious classroom and enjoy the use of cutting mats & basic rulers, irons & ironing boards plus our large design wall. Join Laura, our certified Stripology instructor, to learn how to use Stripology rulers to accurately and efficiently cut fabric into strips, squares, and rectangles as well as master cutting 1/4” and 1/8” increments. During the first part of class you will learn all the techniques and features of your Stripology rulers by making basic units like Half-Square Triangles, Quarter-Square Triangles, and Flying Geese the GEasy way. In the second part of class you will put your new knowledge to use making a class project, the Back Home table topper/wall hanging, made with Flying Geese units. Once you have completed this class you will have the skills to Stripologize any project!
