Before class, please do the following:
1. Cut the fabric into two pieces, one yard each

2. Cut one of the yard pieces along the fold, yielding two pieces approximately 36 x 20. These will be for the sampler
3. Cut the other in half twice, to make four fat quarters – cut once to make two half yards, and then again on the fold to yield four pieces approximately 18 x 20. These will be for the practice pieces

Your batting will be 24 inches wide. Cut as follows:

  • Cut 40 inches for the sampler
  • From the remaining, cut two pieces at 22 inches for the practice pieces (they will be 22 x 24)
  • Save any leftovers for more practice pieces or small projects
