Easy Stand-Up Zipper Case pattern by Hungry Hippie Sews (required)

Small Case - 8" x 6":

one fat quarter for exterior; cotton, linen blend, canvas, cork, vinyl, Kraft Tex
one fat quarter quilting cotton for lining
OR you can use just one fat quarter for the whole bag but the fabrics will be the same inside & out, no contrast.
1/2 yard interfacing Pellon Shape Flex SF101 for added body & strength
8" zipper minimum length, can use larger and cut down

Medium Case - 9" x 7":

one fat quarter for exterior; cotton, linen blend, canvas, cork, vinyl, Kraft Tex
one fat quarter quilting cotton for lining
3/4 yard interfacing Pellon Shape Flex SF101 for added body & strength
9" zipper minimum length, can use larger and cut down

Large Case, 11" x 9":
If not making contrast bottom you will need two fat quarters for exterior, two fat quarters for lining. For a contrast bottom, two fat quarters for focus fabric and lining will work if not directional. You will need another fat quarter of contrasting fabric for bottom - I prefer cork, canvas, or heavier weight cotton.

You will also need:

11" zipper
1 yard interfacing Pellon Shape Flex SF101 or 1/4 yar

Bring a variety of fabrics, materials and zippers as you will most likely have time to start or make more than one case.

Sewing machine in good working order
Sewing machine needles, size 90/14
Thread to coordinate with fabric and zippers
Rotary cutter, mat and ruler
Basic sewing supplies; scissors, seam ripper, pins, wonder clips
