English Paper Piecing 101

Learn the basic techniques of English paper piecing (EPP) , a hand sewing technique, by learning to make the classic Grandmother's flower garden unit! This class will cover the basics of EPP fabric and template preparation and use, glue basting, and stitching options to make a hexagon flower.
Supply List
- A minimum of sixteen, pre-cut 2.5" squares, coordinated to your liking
- A needle of your choice (sharps recommended)
- 1" hexagon paper templates, at least 16
- 50wt thread in a neutral color
- Embroidery scissors or thread snips
- Glue pen, water-soluble (Sewline recommended)
- Small binder clips or Wonder Clips
- Pencil
Optional: template plastic, acrylic template to fussy cut fabric for 1" hexagons
