Dynamic Duo: Talavera

Supply List:

3 sizes to choose from: (45" x 63"), (63" x 11"), or (81" x 99")

Materials needed for class:

  • Talavera Quilt Pattern by Studio R Quilts (available to purchase at shop)

  • Quilt top fabrics: Refer to the pattern back below for fabric requirements according to chosen quilt size.

Additional materials to finish quilt:

These additional materials are not required for class but you may want to purchase at the same time to have everything needed to complete the quilt on hand.

  • Binding: quantity will vary based on size, see back of pattern for details

  • Backing: quantity will vary based on size, see back of pattern for details

  • Batting: quantity will vary based on size, see back of pattern for details

Sewing supplies to bring to class

  • Sewing machine, in good working order

  • ¼" presser foot, if available

  • 18" x 24" (or larger) cutting mat

  • Rotary cutter, with fresh blade

  • Acrylic ruler(s) (ideally 6" x 24" and 6" x 12")

  • Thread for piecing, neutral color

  • Sewing basics – pins, scissors, seam ripper, extra needles, etc.  

Irons and ironing boards will be provided for class

Instructor: Rebecca Lidstrom
Instructor Bio: Rebecca Lidstrom is the founder and creative force behind Studio R Quilts. She is an enthusiastic quilter, designer, and instructor. Rebecca made her first quilt in 2004 and immediately fell in love with all things quilting. A simple design aesthetic combined with color, texture, and traditional quilt blocks are what defines Rebecca's patterns. She takes the intimidation factor out of the quilt-making process and believes regardless of skill level, anyone can make a quilt. Helping others discover and enjoy quilting is a passion for Rebecca. She is excited to be part of the wonderful quilting community and share her knowledge with others. Rebecca is a member of the Madison Modern Quilt Guild and Mad City Quilt Guild. Rebecca is excited to be designing her own line of quilt patterns and sharing them with the quilting community. She creates from her studio in Madison, WI.
