Concentric Circles with Maday
If you have taken classes with me for a number of years, you know that I love circles! This year I’m madly in love with the symmetry of concentric or inset circles. I’m here to help you on this fantastically creative journey of creating your very own concentric circles with ease. You can choose to create with the Clammy 16" only or continue the adventure by using the 12” and 8” to create even more beautiful rounded shapes. I hope you join me in this workshop. Bring your colorful fat quarters and let’s start creating something magical this summer.
Supply List
- Sewing machine in good working order with power cord & foot pedal
- Quarter inch presser foot
- Clammy 16" template (required), Clammy 8" & 12" templates (optional but recommended)
- Glue basting stick with refills
- Ironing spray or starch (such as Best Press or Flatter)
- neutral thread for piecing, 50 wt with bobbins filled and ready
- sewing machine needle size 90/14
- 8 coordinated fat quarters
- rotary cutter with a new blade, mat, & ruler
- fabric scissors
- sewing basics: seam ripper, straight pins, thread snips

| Instructor Bio: | My studio is the lab where I learn, adapt and create; the place where new ideas emerge and balance is restored with each accomplishment and failure. I'm naturally curious about the creative process and employing new tools & techniques in order to grow as an artist and teacher. In all workshops I encourage sustainability as a way to build confidence and community, with a back-to-basics approach and consciousness about resource use/waste.
