Design Essentials 1 via ZOOM

Join this in-depth Design Series to learn all about the most essential Design Principles and Elements!  You will be doing an exercise each month to learn about one or more principles and elements which will give you an enlightening insight into the tools to make your quilts sing. Share your exercise during the next month's class where fellow classmates will engage in a critique session that will help unravel the understanding of design..and yes, you will learn how to critique each other's exercises!  We will have exercises on value, balance, color, the illusion of depth, scale, and more.  You will have an edge on making your quilts better if you take this class!

Class times are all Central Daylight or Central Standard time. A ZOOM link will be sent before class time to the email address provided at registration. All classes will be recorded and the link shared with students for future review or in the event of not being able to attend.

This is a lecture and critique class. For the first class please present via screen share your first quilt and your last quilt, or your worst quilt and your best quilt, or any two quilts - or even one quilt - so we can start learning how to do a critique.  If you do not have any quilts or you work in a different medium, share a couple of samples of your work. Have paper/notebook and pen/pencil at hand to take notes if you wish.
